the "ADRIATICA"

This afternoon I took the girls out to lunch while Rachel attended a baby shower. After lunch, we explored a new place across the street from the McDonald's we ate at (always a healthy choice w/ dad) ... it appears to be a Croatian/ Mediterranean-inspired development complete w/ a hotel, shopping, living, etc. It was fun to photograph ... off from the future hotel was the beginnings of a small vineyard that the girls named "the secret garden" (3rd picture down).

About 30 minutes into our self-guided tour (and blocks from our car) the girls decided they couldn't walk any further and that they needed their mom. The trip to ADRIATICA (McKinney, TX) was a little short-changed, but we'll be back--and next time it will be legal (we had to hop over a couple of fences to get in some parts). Enjoy.

The "secret garden", or the only "hill" in Texas, right off the freeway.

Kate is embracing her calling as my model ... either that or she's itching her legs from the grass we trail blazed.

Hay!

A sunny day in our neighborhood...morning runs...jumping hay barrels....visiting the park...having a picnic...ice-cream cones...exploring with Daddy...quick shopping trip...Panera, mmm...oh, and general conference. That's our Saturday.

Tay-le-po

The cutest little girl to ever wake from her nap...

I'm biased- I know...but, she's so fun to play with when she gets up because she is just so irresistibly happy. I just want to squish her! Don't mind the lips- she had a red popsicle before her nap.

The Easter Bunny is Here ... & some B&W from the park

Some pictures from our neighborhood Easter Party on Saturday. The girls were really excited to meet the Easter bunny and she, (yes, the bunny is a "she"!) brought her friend, Peter Rabbit, along for the day. As you can see, this was an actual, live bunny and the kids went NUTS when he was unveiled . Everyone got a turn to pet him and then it was off to the Easter egg hunt! I just cannot explain how fun it is to have kids who understand and enjoy these things...

a cool 80 degrees ...

We went exploring after church on Sunday...it was such a beautiful day here. The girls loved every minute of their adventure and could have spent all day throwing rocks in the stream and running up to the top of this big hill and back...they thought they were "at the top of the world"- think big kids, think big....

some cute pics ...

Brian has turned into an avid photographer lately and so these pics are all compliments of him. Rachel wishes she were half as talented (and half as creative). Thanks to Taylor and Kate for being so patient and photogenic. And, thanks to Rachel for allowing her hubby to entirely take over our family blog. Any less-than-worthy pictures posted in the future are compliments of yours truly.
